Our Learning Journals
The Early Years Developmental Journal has been produced to help families find out more about early development and to track change and progress over time. It helps everyone involved with a child to share what they know and discuss how best to work together to support development and learning. The Journal includes behaviors that most typically developing babies and children show from when they are born until 3 years of age.
These behaviors are categorized into five Areas of Development: personal, social and emotional development, communication, physical development and thinking. The journal focuses on what children can do, rather than can’t do, and builds a positive record of achievement over time.
